Greenhouse at Hillside Farms
“One of the original Lord and Burnham manufactured greenhouses. The palm portion (pictured) is domed to allow growth of palm and citrus trees.
The greenhouse was constructed between 1820 and 1870 and moved to the farm in 1881 from the family house along the river in Wilkes-Barre. It is believed that fewer than six of the original greenhouses remain in existence.”
